Why a geographer?

I have been “international” all my life. After a childhood experienced in Central America and the United States, I grew up with a love for language, culture, and the earth that cradles us. The course of life led me through many stages prior, but since becoming a geographer, I have dedicated myself to pursuing my passions.

I have been fortunate to travel across the globe as well as deep in my own backyard. As a researcher, I can apply my technical, professional, and cultural skills to explore the world and understand our place in it. Not to restrict myself, the scope of my field remains interdisciplinary and comprehensive including projects in earth science, economics, and cultural geography.

As a means to document these experiences and share them with my community, this site serves as an open journal to preserve the story.
